Modify Company Settings
Objective
This tool allows to modify the basic settings of the current company, its address, QST and GST numbers, etc. Various mandatory configurations in multidimensional and intercompany modes are available in this screen.

Enter the Company's Basic Information

Company Name |
This company name will be used everywhere in maestro* to identify the current company. |

Address |
Complete address of the current company, including the fax and phone number. The ZIP Code is only for companies with an address in the USA. |

Business Number |
The Quebec Business Number is a numerical ID made up of 10 numbers assigned to each registered company. It facilitates the identification of the company with public organizations and business partners. |

|
RBQ No. |
This field allows to enter the number of the current company's Régie du bâtiment du Québec licence. |
||||
|
GST No. and PST No. |
Enter the company's assigned federal (GST) and provincial (QST) tax numbers. |

|
Tag |
The tag allows to identify the company data to use the XML interface. |
||||
|
Currency |
The default currency used by the company. Useful for currency conversions. |
||||
|
Security |
Available values:

Directory |
Allows to select the directory where the company's data is stored. Use the file explorer to select a directory. |
||||
|
Area |
If security is managed by area, allows to indicate the area of the current company. |
||||
|
Prefix / Mask |
In multidimensional mode, this field allows to indicate the prefix/mask of the current company. |

|
Participation Rate |
Represents the participation rate in the company. |
||||
|
Supplier Code |
If the company is considered a supplier, indicate its supplier code in this field. |
||||
|
Client Code |
If the company is considered a client, indicate its client code in this field. |
||||
|
Payable to GL... |
Necessary when in interco mode to indicate the general ledger account used to pay to make payments. |

|
Receivable from GL... |
Necessary when in interco mode to indicate the general ledger account used to receive payments. |
||||
|
Identification Color |
Can be used to assign a colour to the company to distinguish it from other companies. Click on the field to select a colour. The Default button allows to reinitiate the company colour. |

Form Type |
Allows to select the form type the company will use by default. |
Assigning a Logo to a Company
The company logo is displayed on invoices and various reports.
- Click on the
icon to select an image in a directory (JPG or BMP). - If the image does not already exist in the company's directory, the software will ask to copy this image in said directory.
- The name file will be displayed in this field and a preview of the logo is also displayed.
The logo may appear distorted in the preview, but it will be displayed correctly on the documents.
- Save your changes.
Managing a Prefix / Mask
- Click the Prefix / Mask Management icon
. - In the window that appears, click New.
- Enter a description for the prefix.
- Save the changes.
To edit a prefix, search for it by clicking the
icon of the Code field.
Prefixes that do not contain an “X” can be added and edited (the “X” allows you to create “mask” type prefixes).
Linking a Company to Another One (Parent Company)
This section allows the current company to be identified as the parent company and to establish distribution rates of subsidiary companies.
- Check the Parent Company box - a breakdown grid of the companies appears.
- Identify the company in the first column - the name of the company is displayed in the second column.
- Enter the distribution rate in the last column. The addition of any other distribution code must total up to 100%.
- Save the changes.
